Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Sunita Kitchen ('we', 'our', 'us') collects, uses, shares, protects and otherwise processes your information and personal data through our website sunitakitchen.in (the 'Platform').
Introduction
You may browse certain sections of the Platform without registering with us. We do not offer any product or service under this Platform outside India, and your personal data is primarily stored and processed in India. By visiting this Platform, providing your information or availing any product or service offered on the Platform, you expressly agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use, and agree to be governed by the laws of India, including laws applicable to data protection and privacy. If you do not agree, please do not use or access our Platform.
Collection
We collect your personal data when you use our Platform or services or otherwise interact with us. This may include your name, mobile number, delivery address, email ID and other information you share while placing an order or creating an account. Some sensitive personal data, such as payment instrument details, may be collected with your consent. You always have the option not to provide information by choosing not to use a particular service or feature. We may also record your order history and preferences, which are analysed on an aggregated basis to improve our service.
When you order through a third-party platform or payment provider, that party collects your data directly and its own privacy policy applies; we are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we request you to read their policies before disclosing information. If anyone claiming to be Sunita Kitchen asks you for a debit or credit card PIN, net-banking or mobile-banking password, never share it, and report it to an appropriate law enforcement agency.
Usage
We use your personal data to provide the services you request: to accept, prepare and deliver your orders; to contact you about an order; to resolve disputes and troubleshoot problems; to inform you about offers and updates; to customise your experience; to detect and protect against error, fraud and other criminal activity; to enforce our terms; and to conduct research and analysis. Where we use your data to market to you, we give you the ability to opt out. Your access to certain features may be affected if permissions are not provided.
Sharing
We may share your personal data with delivery staff and logistics partners, payment service providers and other third-party service providers to the extent needed to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, enforce our user agreement and prevent, detect and investigate fraudulent or illegal activity. We may disclose personal and sensitive personal data to government agencies or law enforcement where required by law, or in good faith belief that disclosure is reasonably necessary to respond to legal process, to enforce our Terms of Use or Privacy Policy, or to protect the rights, property or personal safety of our users or the general public.
Security precautions
We adopt reasonable security practices and procedures to protect your personal data from unauthorised access or disclosure, loss or misuse, and offer the use of a secure server. However, transmission of information over the internet is never completely secure for reasons beyond our control, and certain inherent risks remain. You are responsible for protecting the login and password records of your account.
Data deletion and retention
You can delete your account from your profile and settings on the Platform, which will result in the loss of all information related to your account. You may also write to us using the contact details below and we will assist you. We may refuse or delay deletion where there is a pending grievance, claim or order. We retain personal data no longer than is required for the purpose for which it was collected or as required by applicable law, except where retention is necessary to prevent fraud or future abuse or for other legitimate purposes. We may continue to retain data in anonymised form for analytical and research purposes.
Your rights
You may access, rectify and update your personal data directly through the functionality provided on the Platform, or by contacting us.
Consent
By visiting our Platform or providing your information, you consent to the collection, use, storage, disclosure and processing of your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you disclose personal data relating to other people, you represent that you are authorised to do so. You also consent to us contacting you by SMS, WhatsApp or other instant messaging apps, call and email for the purposes set out in this policy. You may withdraw consent already given by writing to the Grievance Officer with the subject line "Withdrawal of consent for processing personal data". We may verify such requests before acting on them. Withdrawal is not retrospective, and if you withdraw consent we may restrict or deny services for which we consider that information necessary.
